Paper air filters have high efficiency, and the transmittance of dust is only 0.1% ~ 0.3%. Using paper air filter can reduce the wear of cylinder and piston and prolong the service life of engine.
Use maintenance should pay attention to the following points:
(1) Master the characteristics and cleaning methods of engine paper filter elements
This filter element, the outer filter element using microporous filter paper, the surface of the resin treatment. When the engine is working, the air filters dust through the microporous filter element to ensure that clean air into the turbocharger and then into the cylinder. The inner filter element is made of high quality felt and is a safety filter element. In use, a layer of dust will be stuck around the outer filter element. Clean air filter outside the filter element, can not use water, oil, should prevent oil and water immersion filter element; The usual method is a gentle pat. The specific approach is: gently knock on the tire, beat out the dust, and then blow with dry compressed air below 0.4mpa. When purging, blow from inside to outside.
(2) Clean and replace the filter element regularly
In the use of north running heavy truck series heavy truck, the air filter element should be cleaned and replaced regularly according to the maintenance provisions, so as to avoid excessive dust on the filter element, resulting in increased intake resistance, reduced engine power and increased fuel consumption. The air filter element (inside and outside) should be cleaned every 2000-4000km, and the outer filter element should be replaced at 12000km, and the inner filter element should be replaced once every half a year. If the filter element is damaged, it should be replaced in time.
(3) Correct installation
When checking and maintaining the air filter element, the sealing gasket on the filter element must be installed. Rubber gasket is easy to aging deformation, air is easy to flow from the gasket gap, the dust into the cylinder. If the gasket is aging, it is best to replace the new air filter element. The iron net outside the filter element should be replaced if it is cracked or the upper and lower end cover is cracked.
(4) In the normal operation of the vehicle, the valve at the bottom of the air filter should be pinched several times by hand every day to drain the accumulated dust inside.
